Learn To Burn - Implementation

Part 2 of our Spring 2023 "Learn To Burn" course offering near Mountain Grove (Wright County) Missouri. The course will be hybrid in nature and consist of a ~6 hour virtual portion with an all-day field portion at a later date as we execute a successful, safe, Prescribed Burn on private property. Part 1, "Learn To Burn - The Prep" is HIGHLY ENCOURAGED preparation but is NOT required to attend this course. .The course is NOT open enrollment - enrollment must be approved by Grounded Truths LLC, and priority will be given to those residing in the Southern Missouri area as well as Prescribed Burn Association members. The ~6 hour virtual portion will cover safety, including appropriate attire and protective equipment, giving briefings, the roles and responsibilities of each member of a burn crew through the three basic phases of burning: ignition, holding, and mop-up. We'll also cover basic emergency procedures - a primer on "what to do when things go wrong".
